30 YEARS OF US

1992-2022

Our story starts back in 1992 when Kane Yeardley bought an old, disused warehouse and turned it into one of Sheffield's most loved venues, Forum Kitchen + Bar. From there Forum Cafe Bars was born and ever since the company has gone from strength to strength - we now have venues across Yorkshire and Derbyshire, a successful brewery, a gin distillery and we are home to a number of experiences including the Sheffield School of Gin experience. In January 2016 the company name was changed to True North Brew Co. to fully reflect the diverse nature of the business.

In 2022 we are celebrating 30 Years of Us with a collection of events, limited edition produce, and a few surprises along the way. We've also hosted our first awards evening to celebrate our long serving staff, some of who have been with us for over 20 years, as well as newer members to the True North family.

ELDON STREET MURAL

This installation is a special commission for the 30 Years of Us project by renowned artist, Rob Lee.
The mural, painted in Lee's instantly recognisable use of pattern, repetition, and abstraction, stretches from the edge of Forum Kitchen + Bar, across to the True North Brewery on Eldon Street.

In celebration of True North opening its first venue 30 years ago, this artwork is a gift back to the city and to all that have been part of the last 30 years.

Visit the mural at 47 Eldon Street, Sheffield.
