True North Brew Co has announced it will be firing up the stills this month at its local Sheffield-based distillery for a limited run of one of its most popular editions. Sheffield Dry Gin Hops & Honey will be available for pre-order from 7th March, available for purchase online and in selected True North venues.
Combining the sweet flavours of home-grown Sheffield Honey and citrus notes from selected hops with the iconic taste of premium Sheffield Dry Gin, this classic blend treats the palate a truly unique flavour.
Head Distiller Dean Hollingworth said, “Since we first released Hops & Honey, we’ve received so many messages from customers and wholesalers asking if they can get it so it’s always exciting that we get to bring it back for a limited run. We’ll only be making 100 bottles though so make sure you get it while you can.”
First distilled in 2017, Hops & Honey was an instant classic and has since joined the collections of gin connoisseurs across the country. Utilising the long-standing partnership with independent company Sheffield Honey, the recipe uses the finest locally-sourced honey alongside specially selected Bobek hops and a closely guarded selection of Sheffield Dry Gin botanicals.
Gin lovers wanting to best experience the taste of the limited edition gin can create the signature cocktail ‘Honey I Shrunk the Gin’ which combines Sheffield Dry Hops & Honey with apricot brandy, lemon juice, Sheffield Honey and a slice of grapefruit.
The limited-edition 70cl bottle can be ordered through the online True North Brew Co store. Pre-orders can be made from 7th March and the official launch date is 16th March which is when orders will be dispatched or collected from Forum Kitchen + Bar.
