How to make the most of NYE in Sheffield

New Year’s Eve is a night that everyone looks forward to. However, it can be a nightmare trying to plan ahead and get things organised. Luckily, we’ve been in the party game for some time and we’re here to help with a few top tips on how to make the most of your NYE.

Choose the place

It seems pretty obvious but the best place to start when planning your NYE is to choose the venue or location at which you want to celebrate. There are more bars and clubs in Sheffield than ever so it can be hard to choose but here are a few things to consider:

  • What kind of music do you like?

  • Are you looking for a wide selection of drinks?

  • Will you want to eat?

  • Are you looking for activities as well as just drinks?

  • Is the location easy to get to?

Think of the whole crew

One of the hardest parts of planning a night out is settling on a time, place or activity if you have a group of friends who all like different things. Finding something that offers a range of different options should help make sure everyone has a good night.

If you can’t settle on one place, the NYE Devonshire Street Party is spread across three popular city-centre venues with a good mixture of tunes, plenty of drinks, pizza, pool and more drinks!

Book transport in advance

New Year’s Eve in Sheffield is always hectic and it can be hard getting around the city when all of the taxis are booked up. Make sure you plan ahead and get yourself some transport sorted so you can focus on partying!

Steady your pace

There’s nothing better than spending New Year’s Eve surrounded by friends and family with music playing and a drink in hand but it can be easy to peak too early and have to cut the night short. There’s plenty of fun to be had and drinks to be drunk at our city-centre venues so make sure to pace yourself so you can make the most of what’s on offer.
