A Guide to Christmas in Sheffield and Barnsley

Christmas means something a little bit different to each of us – whether that’s crafts with the kids, a glitzy night on the town or a sumptuous feast with the family in front of a roaring fire. Whatever gets you excited for Christmas, True North Brew Co. is here to make it happen with a fantastic series of festive workshops, parties and events taking place across our venues throughout Sheffield and Barnsley.

For the party animals

For those looking to make merry with friends or colleagues, check out the festive offers available across our Sheffield city centre venues (Forum Kitchen + Bar, The Old House and The Common Room) or The Old Grindstone in Crookes – our buffets, bottomless brunch, private karaoke rooms, pool parties and drinks packages are perfect for nights out and office parties.

Kelham Island is also the place to be this Christmas and Riverside Kelham is bound to be the centre of the party with its buffets, drinks packages and curry feast options for you to enjoy whilst overlooking the River Don.

You can also check out our venues in the suburbs of Sheffield and Barnsley for party venues that are ideal for a more traditional Christmas party, with function rooms providing a cosy atmosphere to enjoy a private dining experience over a three-course festive menu.

For the family-orientated

In the run-up to the big day, why not treat the little ones to Breakfast with Santa, where you can enjoy a festive breakfast and share your wish list with Father Christmas himself.

And if the turkey prep is too much to handle this year, let us take it off your hands. You can book a Christmas day lunch at several of our venues, with each serving its own unique and decadent take on a Christmas day lunch. Available at: The Broadfield, The Milton Arms, The Punch Bowl, The British Oak, The Crown and Anchor, The York, The Horse & Jockey, and The Waggon & Horses.

For the football fans

We'll be showing all of England's 2022 World Cup matches at The Common Room, Forum Kitchen + Bar, The Old Grindstone, The Horse & Jockey, The British Oak, and The Milton Arms, so you can cheer on the Lions until it comes home!

For the romantically inclined

Impress that special someone with a sophisticated evening of live music as the Stannington Brass Band return to The Punch Bowl. Or spend a relaxing evening together at The Waggon & Horses or The Broadfield, creating a beautiful Christmas Wreath over a glass of mulled wine and plate of mince pies.

For the savvy shoppers

Finally, spruce up your gift-giving this year and support independent businesses while you’re at it by treating your loved ones to a pressie or two from the True North Brew Co store. With over a dozen exotic flavours of gin available, plus gift sets and exquisite glassware, you’re sure to find something to please any gin connoisseur.
