Vegan week returns with an exciting line up of special dishes
We are very excited to be bringing back our popular food event to a number of True North venues this August, celebrating amazing plant-based recipes. Since launching in 2018, Vegan Week has gained huge popularity across the city, generating a lot of positive conversation surrounding vegan alternatives while showcasing the skills and passions of our chef team.
Since one of our city centre venues, The Old House launched a 100% plant-based menu in May, our team of chefs have been experimenting with exciting vegan recipes and developing new ideas for the event. Executive Head Chef, Andy Burn said “Vegan food is now more popular than ever and we’re looking forward to showing the vegans all over South Yorkshire what we’ve got to offer. The seven-day event is a perfect chance for our chefs to showcase their skills and craft amazing plant-based recipes that even meat-eaters will love!”
Vegans, vegetarians and meat-eaters are all invited to discover a selection of unique vegan dishes, alongside the usual menus at all True North venues from 9th – 15th August. Each participating venue will be showcasing their own vegan specials menu including everything from artisan pizzas to spicy jackfruit burgers and vegan pies; whether you are looking for a light lunch snack to a hearty meal, there will be something to suit every occasion. Here are the venues across South Yorkshire where you can get involved and try something new:
The British Oak | The Punchbowl | The Milton Arms | Crown & Anchor | Riverside Kelham | The Broadfield | Common Room | Forum Kitchen & Bar | The Old House
