We've been working with Bradway Primary School as part of their Garden to Fork initiative - helping their students learn how to cook healthy, affordable meals with ingredients they can grow in their own gardens!
Head Chef at The Broadfield and The Waggon & Horses, Rob Limmer, has created 20 recipes - specially designed to be easy and accessible for all cooking abilities and dietary requirements including nettle gnocchi, garden vegetable minestrone and banana, sorrel, and oat cookies.
Rob will be holding classes at the school once a week to cook the recipes with the children of Y4 - teaching them new dishes that they can make at home with their parents and allowing them to try new and exciting foods.

Helping kids cook healthy, affordable meals is such an important initiative, teaching them valuable skills that will last a lifetime. In addition to cooking, it's essential to support children's overall development. If your child is facing challenges with speech, an online speech therapist can provide great support. Programs like this not only teach nutrition but also contribute to building confidence and independence in children, encouraging them to explore new skills both in the kitchen and in communication.
