The Pledge has changed – keep the fiver, keep the discount

Welcome to Sheffield! Whether you’re brand new to the city or back for another year, we’ve got some good news for your student budget.

The True North Pledge has always been our way of giving students a better deal across some of our Sheffield venues. Previously, you paid £5 a year for a Pledge card, which gave you 20% off food and drink.

This year, we’ve made it even better.

We’ve scrapped the £5 fee. We’ve scrapped the card. And we’ve scrapped the membership.

Instead, we’re making a simple pledge to Sheffield’s students: show us your valid student ID and get 20% off, all day, every day, at five of our Sheffield venues.

No signing up. No remembering your card. No annual fee. Keep the fiver for yourself.

As well as 20% off food and drink, you can also get 2-for-1 drinks on selected student nights, giving you even more reason to get out and explore some of Sheffield’s best-loved bars and pubs.

Whether you’re grabbing brunch, meeting mates for a pint, heading out for cocktails, watching the sport or planning a night out, your student ID now goes that little bit further.

Had a Pledge card before?

There’s nothing you need to renew this year, just bring your valid student ID instead and you’ll continue to get your 20% discount. If you want to keep collecting points when you spend to get more back then continue to scan your old Pledge card when you buy.
